Think of it as a Facebook Page that lives inside Zalo, with a verification tick once the business submits its license.<\/p>\n<h2>What is a Zalo Official Account?<\/h2>\n<p>Zalo offers two kinds of business accounts (<a href=\"https:\/\/oa.zalo.me\/home\/documents\/guides\/khoi-tao-zalo-official-account_61\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Zalo Official Account, Creating a Zalo Official Account, accessed October 2026<\/a>):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ad profile:<\/strong> for sellers without a business registration certificate, used only to run ads on Zalo. It cannot send messages, broadcasts or posts, and has no chatbot or calling.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Verified OA:<\/strong> for companies and household businesses with a business registration certificate. It carries a verification tick, supports multiple admins and gets features according to its service plan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The person creating the OA needs a personal Zalo account registered to a Vietnamese (+84) phone number. Finance, banking and insurance businesses must verify before they can use an OA at all.<\/p>\n<h2>How to create and verify a Zalo OA<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to oa.zalo.me, scan the QR code with your personal Zalo app and choose &#8220;Create Official Account&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Name the OA in one of three ways: the name on the business registration certificate, a trademark registered with Vietnam&#8217;s Intellectual Property Office, or another trading name such as a product name. Each naming route has its own verification file.<\/li>\n<li>Submit the verification file within 14 days of creating the OA. For some file types, the company&#8217;s legal representative must approve the request in Zalo within 48 hours.<\/li>\n<li>Zalo reviews the file in about 2 to 3 business days, sometimes longer (<a href=\"https:\/\/oa.zalo.me\/home\/documents\/guides\/huong-dan-xac-thuc_70\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Zalo Official Account, Verification guide, accessed October 2026<\/a>).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>When can an OA message customers?<\/h2>\n<p>Under the rules in effect since January 1, 2026 (<a href=\"https:\/\/oa.zalo.me\/home\/documents\/guides\/tong-quan-cac-loai-tin-nhan-tren-zalo-official-account-_3651713298729094511\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Zalo Official Account, Overview of message types, accessed October 2026<\/a>):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Consultation messages:<\/strong> sent only after the customer has interacted with the OA, for example by messaging, calling, commenting or tapping a menu. They are free within 48 hours of the last interaction and charged after that. Connecting the OA to a <a href=\"https:\/\/adtek.agency\/en\/glossary\/crm\/\">CRM<\/a> or third-party software through the API requires the Growth or Comprehensive plan. Plan fees are non-refundable.<\/p>\n<h2>Cost example (hypothetical)<\/h2>\n<p>A spa on the Growth plan pays 2,500,000 \/ 12 = about VND 208,333 a month. This month, staff send 800 consultation messages to customers whose last interaction was more than 48 hours ago. 500 fall within the plan quota; the other 300 cost 300 x 55 = VND 16,500. The OA costs about VND 224,833 for the month, before any ZNS messages.<\/p>\n<p>Businesses typically use an OA as the place where messages from ads, landing pages and in-store QR codes arrive. Welcome messages and chatbots are <a href=\"https:\/\/adtek.agency\/en\/glossary\/marketing-automation\/\">marketing automation<\/a> running inside Zalo, while consultation messages serve as a <a href=\"https:\/\/adtek.agency\/en\/glossary\/customer-service\/\">customer service<\/a> channel.<\/p>\n<h2>Frequently asked questions<\/h2>\n<h3>Is a Zalo OA free?<\/h3>\n<p>The price list only shows three paid plans. Basic is the default plan, and an OA falls back to it when a paid plan is not renewed. Usage fees apply on top, such as consultation messages outside 48 hours and ZNS.<\/p>\n<h3>What if I don&#8217;t have a business license?<\/h3>\n<p>You can only create an ad profile.
